We would like to thank everyone who came out to run the rallye. I hope
everyone who became a member or renewed their membership last night enjoys
the clipboards. Like I said at the rallye, the inspiration for this rallye
came to me when I discovered I could customize the printing on the back of
pictures. A special thank you to Dean Stanton & Clayton Castle for taking
care of the start. Thank you to Larry Friedrich, Steve Beuerman, Ed Slintak,
and Ray De Blieck for prechecking. Thank you to Abby Grossman, Glen Dayton,
and Ed Slintak for working the check point, and most of all thank you to
Mother Nature for keeping the rain away, finally.

I’m always fascinated by which gimmicks people catch and which ones are
missed. This time I was excited to see that not many of the impossible
combos were triggered. Because of a last minute change to the rallye, the
“PHOTO OPP” that was part of your picture pack was actually bad instead of
good as described in the critique, and we ended up tossing both AS25 and
V25, making them worth zero points. Then to keep the rallye at a max of 1000
points, we added 20 finish points, which was awarded to everyone. I also
need to note that 3 cars’ totals that were posted the night of the rallye
were incorrect. It was discovered that the critique did not denote that in
order to get the points for AA you must have O, but the scoring program did.
We updated the scoring program and changed the final scores for these cars.
Award standings were unaffected, but we do want acknowledge that these cars
did earn the points. According to score sheets, some of your favorite
gimmicks included: All the PHOTOPPs coming into effect at the same time,
looking for the photos, the PHOTOPP printed onto the back of picture 3, and
St. Lawrence. If there are any gimmicks that you did not catch, and even
after reading the critique you still don’t understand; feel free to email me
and I will try and help you to understand them. There are some great
resources at http://www.therallyeclub.org that can help you improve your
